Bollywood Bit actor involved in Controversy and fraudulent claims

Toronto, Canada.  Bollywood bit actor Ali Quli Mirza, who has had a non-speaking role in the Film New York and a minor role in the film Jail has seemed to land himself in the press for the wrong reasons again.  This time in Toronto, Canada.

Seems the struggling junior artist has made a profession of making false claims regarding his career and the derailing keeps continuing.  In his most recent trip to Toronto, he once again performed the song Bore Bore, from the film Bluffmaster, which he claims is his song, a song that he has written and sung along with Arash Labaf and Vishal and Shekhar.

This is not the first time he has made claims of this song being his.  In 2011, he made similar claims after which his North American management team was forced to shorten his trip and have him return to India.

When contacted for comment Ali Quli's management team initially had no comment as they wanted to steer clear of the artist’s claims, however after contacting them again they stated, “Mr. Mirza provided fabricated documents and stories stating this song was his, after some more thorough investigations, we discovered it was not.”.

When asked about the claims of the song Bore Bore, his performance of the song in Toronto, Canada and stating in public as the song being his,  “We were very clear with Mr. Mirza and have told him in writing, that he should not perform the song in question; that it is not his song and his claims may land him in trouble.  In fact Arash’s management and label have confirmed this and have never even heard of Ali Quli Mirza, and Vishal and Shekhar also have never stated that Ali has made this song or worked on it.”

Ali Quli Mirza performed the song at two events over the May 4-6 2012 weekend; one performance at the Indian Cinema In Conversation that his management team was not even aware of.

“Once again, we do not know who secured him to perform at the Indian Cinema In Conversation event, and I think it unfair to tie this controversy into a good event honoring Bollywood legends.  It was Mr. Mirza and a friend of his who created this problem.”

“Unfortunately we cannot control Mr. Mirza and his claims therefore we had distanced ourselves from him and his activities for quite some time now.”

“In fact we did not sponsor or invite Mr. Mirza to Canada, and from what we have been told he was here on a visitors visa.”

When doing further research on Ali Quli’s antics, I was surprised to find many controversies surrounding him, everything from a kidnapping incident related to a theft in Mumbai, modeling agency fronts to recruit women, embezzlement and making false promises in order to secure funds from would-be investors. The list goes on.

We tried to reach his parent company who he is signed to, who declined to make a comment and only stated that they too have distanced themselves from him due to personal misconduct on his part and unethical behaviour similar to this.

Seems he leaves a trail of victims wherever he goes, where he has made false promises and drained people of their finances.  “He often uses the name of Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt as his best friend and is known to use other Bollywood stars as references to further his personal gain.  If we invest in him, he can bring Salman Khan and we can work together,” stated by someone with strong ties to the Bollywood industry who also went through similar ordeals with him on his previous visit and wishes to remain anonymous, aside from her their are many more such notable Bollywood insiders in Toronto who went through this ordeal with him.

They went onto to further state that "The majority of the people affected by Ali Quli Mirza have either deleted him from Facebook, BBM and contact lists yet he keeps calling with some new sad story or lie. How many more people does he have to cheat or steal from before the industry spits him back out?”

It appears Ali Quli Mirza is desperate for fame, seems he found it may not be quite what he had in mind.
