Hrithik Roshan turns down whopping sum for a commercial from a cell phone company, as he didn't believe in the brand's creative concept
Hrithik Roshan is known to be extremely conscious of his on-screen image. In fact, apparently the actor doesn't mind even saying no to a bunch of money if he is not happy with the way things have turned out.
According to our industry sources, the actor recently turned down an offer from an international cell phone brand to endorse their product. Hrithik was supposedly not happy with the brand's creative concept.
A source close to the actor says, `Trust Hrithik to be a perfectionist. Even while the mobile brand was offering him a whopping amount of Rs 20 crore, he refused to be a part of it.
The brand honchos had initially offered him Rs 15 crore and later revised the offer to Rs 20 crore. Nothing could budge the actor. He does not believe in going ahead with something without being fully convinced.`
Hrithik remained unavailable for comment. The spokesperson of the phone brand refused to speak on the matter.

NEWS: It's lifelong dream to work with Shekhar: Hrithik
Actor Hrithik Roshan, who has reportedly been approached to play the lead in Shekhar Kapur's ambitious film "Paani", says it has been his dream to be directed by the filmmaker.
Asked if he has signed on the dotted line, Hrithik said: "I would just say that working with Shekhar Kapur is a lifelong dream of mine. 'Paani' is a dream and I hope it happens.
"I am looking forward to working with Mr. Shekhar Kapur and apart from work, just being with that man, in his presence, I feel comforted," the 38-year-old said here Friday at the opening of new Whistling Woods acting academy.
"On a personal equation, Shekhar Kapur is kind of an enlightened soul. So when I am with him, I feel a little enlightened, I feel a little good about myself," he added.
Hrithik was last seen in "Agneepath" and is currently working on "Krrish 3".
With many Bollywood actors turning directors, does Hrithik plan to wield the megaphone too?
"When I stop getting work as an actor, then I will have to earn my bread and butter somehow and then I will become a director, I guess."

NEWS: Hrithik excited to work in YRF's 'Paani'
Shekhar Kapur had many a times made it public about his most ambitious project that has now been titled “Paani”.
Hrithik Roshan has been selected to play the lead role in this film. He seems to be very excited about this new development as he was seen willingly discussing about this project with others who were present at Marrakech Film Festival that has been rolling at Morocco.
According to an insider, “Hrithik is excited to get the project. Ranbir was also in the buzz as being considered for the role. Guess his packed diary didn’t permit him free dates to say yes to Shekhar.”
This film seems to have a lot of potential as Yash Raj Films have joined forces with Shekhar Kapoor to fund this film. The film will be made with a budget of $30 million.
The director has tremendous talent and credibility as he proved it in yesteryear films like “Mr. India”, “Bandit Queen”, and “Masoom”. He has labeled this film as a mission. He tweeted recently saying, “'Paani' is a film, but much more. 'Paani' is a passion, but much more. 'Paani' is a mission.”
The film has quite an innovative and original plot. The storyline zooms into the future revolving around times when there will be wars over water. In the movie, it will be depicted that water is possessed by International Corporations, who then will use thirstiness as a weapon of authority over human population. The film will also project a budding love story that will disrupt all the rules and subsequently the war which will later result in the water flowing back to its general public.
This project had been in the limelight long back, (read: twelve years back), but sadly had no takers who would willingly fund it, with Yash Raj Films agreeing to produce the film, the project finally saw the light of day. An insider revealed “Now that Shekhar (Kapur) has finally found a producer in Aditya Chopra, looks like things are falling into place. Earlier, the director was often rebuked as to who would want to see a project like Paani!”
“Paani” is claimed to be going on floors next year during 2013. The film will be shot abroad and in India. A. R Rahman has been welcomed on board to compose the music of this film.
The film first had been announced with Vivek Oberoi who would play the lead, however with changing times and with Vivek’s popularity going downhill, Hrithik Roshan is a good choice.

ShahRukh Khan gives helping hand to Hrithik Roshan
While Shah Rukh Khan has declined to play the bad man in Krrish 3, he'll still be connected with Hrithik Roshan's next superhero film.
And if that's not all, some aspects of his own superhero flick, RA.One, is turning to be of great help to Krissh 3. Yes, it's the infrastructure the actor-producer set up before setting out to make his movie that released last year. And now, director Rakesh Roshan too is using the same facilities to realise his vision for his superhero flick with Hrithik. In fact, before the release of RA.One, SRK had said that he would be inviting the Roshans to check out his special and visual effects studio to ascertain the kind of work they do before outsourcing the VFX to an outside company. Sources reveal that work on the special effects for the Roshans' film got underway some time after Hrithik started shooting for the film. Confirming the same, Rakesh said via a text message, "Shah Rukh's studio is as good as any foreign studio. The key to get perfect results is time. And I have given them 15 months. Most of my VFX shots are over and they have already started the work."
