Is Vivek Bollywood's new age Gabbar Singh?

Actor Vivek Oberoi, who plays a villain in "Krrish 3", says his character could be described as "Gabbar Singh of our times".

"I am really very, very excited about 'Krrish 3'. It's a really cool, bad character and it's a role of a lifetime. It's like a Gabbar Singh of our times, so I am very excited," the 36-year-old said here during the first anniversary celebration of Acme Mall Store Sunday.

Being directed by Rakesh Roshan, "Krrish 3" is a sequel to the 2006-superhero flick "Krrish" featuring Hrithik Roshan in the lead.

Meanwhile, Vivek's romantic-comedy "Kismet, Love, Paisa, Dilli" is set to hit screens Friday.

He is also doing "Zilla Ghaziabad", and romantic comedy "Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story."

Happy doing different kinds of films, Vivek said: "It's good, one should do different kinds of films...It's a colourful year, a rainbow year where I am doing all kinds of films. I am very, very excited about it."

ShahRukh Khan gives helping hand to Hrithik Roshan

While Shah Rukh Khan has declined to play the bad man in Krrish 3, he'll still be connected with Hrithik Roshan's next superhero film. 

And if that's not all, some aspects of his own superhero flick, RA.One, is turning to be of great help to Krissh 3. Yes, it's the infrastructure the actor-producer set up before setting out to make his movie that released last year. And now, director Rakesh Roshan too is using the same facilities to realise his vision for his superhero flick with Hrithik. In fact, before the release of RA.One, SRK had said that he would be inviting the Roshans to check out his special and visual effects studio to ascertain the kind of work they do before outsourcing the VFX to an outside company. Sources reveal that work on the special effects for the Roshans' film got underway some time after Hrithik started shooting for the film. Confirming the same, Rakesh said via a text message, "Shah Rukh's studio is as good as any foreign studio. The key to get perfect results is time. And I have given them 15 months. Most of my VFX shots are over and they have already started the work."
