FIRST LOOK: Inkaar

Inkaar has a new strategy. Inkaar new theatrical trailer has lots of lines that will finally not get included in the theatrical as they would be explicit and a little too saucy, peppery for everyone’s taste. So keeping that in mind the makers (vaicom 18) has decided to release these lines online as teasers.

One such line is a debate that Chitrangda Singh is having in a broad room “yes he has taught me everything however it doesn’t mean I will spread my leg every time he walks into the room…”

Inkaar will have such clips of 10 – 15 seconds online to excite the youth who are starting careers or young office.

Inkaar as a subject is bold and controversial and talks about sexual harassment in office.

Chitrangda and Arjun the two most good looking people of Bollywood are coming together for first time.

Touted as the new hot couple of Bollywood, insiders say that their trailer is hot and sizzling.

NEWS: I've soft corner for Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir: Rani Mukerji

Candid Rani Mukerji has confessed she has a soft corner for all three Khans of Bollywood-Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir- with whom she worked at an impressionable age.
"I have a soft corner for Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir because at an impressionable age, I worked with them. I was 17-18. At that age, you look up to some people and that always remains irrespective of whatever happens," the actress said in a group interview.
"Your comfort level with them is such that you can't compare it with any other co-star. The kind of love and support they showed towards me when I was a newcomer will stay with me for life," said the 34-year-old who acted with Shah Rukh Khan in "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" and "Paheli".
With Salman, she featured in "Chori Chori Chupke Chupke," "Baabul" and more
She worked with Aamir in "Ghulam" and "Mangal Pandey" and will now be seen with him in "Talaash" releasing Nov 30.
"I always treated myself as a youngster or as a learner in front of two people-Aamir and Shah Rukh-as I started my career with them. So I do look up to them in a different way. I may not be shy in front of them any more, but I learn a lot from them. When they suggest anything to me, it's important for me to take their suggestion," she said.
"Talaash" is her second release this year after Anurag Kashyap's "Aiyyaa", which failed to impress her fans.
"I would not want to be a part of any project that I feel would not work. An actor like me always wants to work to get appreciation of the audiences. And appreciation can only come if people will come to watch the film.
"In 'Aiyyaa', probably people didn't come. It is a very sad situation for me. We actors always crave for adulation," she said.
Moving on is the best way to tackle failure and success in life, she said.
"I don't really get stuck in a time warp where if my film is a success, I have to keep partying till the next one releases or if my film is a flop, I keep wallowing in sorrow until the next comes my way.
"My hard work in each film is always there. Till date, nobody has pointed out a flaw in my acting. At least they say Rani's film didn't work, but she was fabulous. I work towards maintaining that," she said.
A film's box office performance cannot be predicted, she said.
"We are not saints, gods, spiritual human beings that we can sit and decide whether a film will do well or not. It is not in our hands," she said and added that nothing was frustrating.
"You are a worker. How can your work give you frustration? From childhood, we're taught that there will be good days; there will be bad days; you will win some and lose some. But because of that you don't become negative, frustrated and depressed," she said.
Variety is important for Rani and she makes sure each assignment adds something to her body of work.
"It could get saturated or monotonous if I would do the same characters again and again. That is why to save myself from that feeling, I take time out to choose roles that excite me," she said.
For variety, Rani has collaborated with new directors Rajkumar Gupta and Sachin Kundalkar in "No One Killed Jessica" and "Aiyyaa".
She says working with seasoned directors and with new ones have their own advantages and disadvantages.
"With experienced directors, you gain experience and with new ones, you get energy and spirit," she said.

NEWS: Bipasha to experiment with sci-fi

Actress Bipasha Basu, who has experimented with various genres, is all set now to be part of a sci-fi film directed by Vikram Bhatt.
"Bipasha Basu is one actress in Bollywood who is ready to experiment with different genres. Besides, Bipasha suits the role for my sci-fi film," said Bhatt, who recently worked with the actress in "Raaz 3".
"She is a fabulous actress, and is very enthusiastic about her work. I can't think of anyone else other than Bipasha for my film. She is perfect," he added.
Bhatt has earlier directed Bipasha in films like "Aetbaar" and "Footpath".
Asked if he considers Bipasha as his lucky charm, he said: "Nothing as such. I don't think (of her as) lucky charm, but she is definitely one actress who has evolved over the years and has proved herself."
Bhatt says the film will go on floors next year.
"It is a very special film for me. I can't talk much about the film, but it will go on floors in May 2013. It is a very interesting story," he said.
Bhatt has entered into a partnership with Bhushan Kumar's T-Series to produce five films that includes science-fiction, thriller and horror genre, among others.

NEWS: Never looked at Aamir's eyes, feared falling in love: Rani

There was a time when Rani Mukerji didn't have the courage to "look into Aamir Khan's eyes" and now is a time when she "keeps gazing into his eyes until he asks me not to".
They worked together for the first time in 1998 release "Ghulam". At that time Rani was a newcomer and Aamir was already a star with hits like "Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak", "Dil" and "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander" to his credit.
After hit film "Ghulam", Rani-Aamir came together on screen after seven years for the not-so-successful historical drama "Mangal Pandey" and now they will be seen as a couple in forthcoming thriller "Talaash", their third film in 14 years.
Reminiscing her experience on the sets of "Ghulam", Rani said: "When I did my first film with him, I used to look at his shoes as I used to be all tensed and nervous. I was a huge Aamir Khan fan. I had a crush on him. When I had seen QSQT ('Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'), I was in school."
"I was very nervous while doing a romantic scene with him. I would look at his shoes because I couldn't look into his eyes because I feared I would fall in love with him," she said in a group interview.
"Now I look into his eyes. I keep gazing into his eyes until he asks me not to," added the actress who did a special appearance in Aamir-starrer "Mann".
The two enjoy a good friendship off the screen and Rani hopes it is for lifetime.
"Over the years, Aamir and I have built a friendship which, I would like to believe, is for life. I would like to believe that I will be attending his 80th birthday also," she said.
Rani, 34, is all praises for Aamir, 47.
"He was a superstar when I did my first film with him and he is a much bigger superstar even now. His focus, dedication and sincerity towards his craft, his approach towards filmmaking, performance and character, has become greater and bigger with time," she said.
"Talaash", directed by Reema Kagti, is hitting theatres Nov 30.

NEWS: 'Bhaag Milka...' wrapped up; Farhan gets emotional

"Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" shoot has been completed and its lead actor Farhan Akthar says he is feeling a sense of loss because the team will disperse now.
"As the shoot on 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' crosses the finish line, enveloped by a sense of loss. The unit - our temporary commune - is broken up. Best wishes to all," tweeted the 38-year-old.
Produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film is a biopic on athlete Milkha Singh, fondly called Flying Sikh, and Farhan plays the title role. "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" also features Sonam Kapoor.

NEWS: Sunny to do item song in 'Singh Sahib

Contrary to reports that Sunny Leone may not do an item number in "Singh Sahib The Great", filmmaker Anil Sharma says he is keen to shoot the song with her and that they are working on her dates.
"Sunny Leone is a wonderful human being. She is a very good friend. We are trying to work on her dates. She is busy with her other projects. There are some date issues and nothing more than that. I want to work with her and we are trying to incorporate an item number with her," Anil Sharma said.
There were rumours that the film's main lead Sunny Deol has refused to work with the Indo-Canadian porn star as he wasn't too pleased when the jokes about him and the actress started doing the rounds.
Sharma clarified it saying: "All these are just rumours. Sunny Deol is one actor in Bollywood who is least interested in getting into controversies. He only wants each and every actor to grow. He was very upset after he got to know about the rumours."
Shooting for "Singh Sahib The Great" will start Dec 10 and Sharma said that it would be a "50 days schedule till January-end".
"During the same time, I am planning to shoot for the item number as well," added the director who has roped in Ameesha Patel for the female lead.

NEWS: Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone shooting for 'Chennai Express'

Instead of celebrating the success of his recent hit 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan', superstar Shah Rukh Khan has already moved on and is busy shooting his next film 'Chennai Express' at breakneck speed. The film has SRK paired opposite Deepika Padukone and is directed by Rohit Shetty.
As the name suggests, the train journey forms a pivotal part of the story. In the picture, SRK is seen doing a repeat of his famous scene from 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (DDLJ) only this time, it's Deepika and not Kajol and she seems to be walking slowly rather than running to catch the train. Moreover, while DDLJ's train sequence was shot in the EURAIL, it's the Indian Railways here that forms the backdrop of 'Chennai Express'. Also what's interesting is Deepika's look in the film which resembles that of a typical South Indian village belle.
Chennai Express is slated to release in 2013.

NEWS: Deepika’s Race 2 crosses the 2 million mark

Deepika Padukone’s marketing expertise has got her upcoming film Race 2
trending on the digital platforms. Earlier this week, Deepika launched the
trailer of the film on twitter, which crossed 2 million views in less than 4 days.

Considering the buzz the film has created just after the trailer launch, Race 2 is
definitely one of the most anticipated films of 2013.

It all started with Deepika tweeting the Race 2 logo followed by uploading
the first looks of all the vital characters of the film including Saif Ali Khan,
John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Amisha Patel and Deepika
herself. Deepika was the first one to unveil the poster and sharing the trailer
link from the action sequel of Race on twitter. With over 2.5 million twitter
followers adding to Deepika’s strong digital presence, her marketing geniuses
have got Race 2 to cross the 2 million mark digitally.

All the assets of Race 2 were launched by Deepika on twitter, and have gone
aggressively viral in the digital front. Race 2 will see Deepika in a complete
different avatar, as she will be performing all her stunts without a body
double. The digital poster that unveiled her look in Race 2 has received rave
reviews across all mediums.

Deepika has changed the norm of action films being male dominant in
Bollywood by being such a vital part of launching the assets of Race 2 digitally.
And with assets being so well received, is it time to expect the other actor’s to
follow suit?

NEWS: 'JTHJ' in India earns Rs.60.39 crore($10mill) in four days

The magic of Yash Chopra's evergreen romance formula seems to be working again. "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" (JTHJ), his last directorial venture before his death, has earned Rs.60.39 crore at the domestic box office in four days of its release.
The Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif-starrer love story released on 2,500 screens on the auspicious occasion Diwali, Nov 13.
The film earned Rs.15.23 crore (Tuesday) Rs.19.54 crore (Wednesday), Rs.14.45 crore (Thursday) and Rs. 11.17 crore (Friday).
Produced by Aditya Chopra under the family banner Yash Raj Films, JTHJ was reportedly made at a budget of Rs.50 crore. Shot in exotic foriegn locales, the movie witnessed a good opening in the overseas market too.
The total overseas collections turned out to be $4.75 million (Rs. 26 crore). A break-up of the overseas figures - $1.30 million (Tuesday), $1.20 million (Wednesday), $1million (Thursday) and $1.25 million (Friday).
JTHJ released alongside Ajay Devgn's "Son Of Sardaar" (SOS), a comedy entertainer.

NEWS: SRK's kiss story - JTHJ demanded it!

Shah Rukh Khan had made a rule for himself - never kiss on screen, but he has made an exception for Yash Chopra's "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" (JTHJ). The superstar says he was "forced" to kiss this time, and says it was only a demand of the script.
"I had a couple of rules actually - that I won't ride a horse and I won't kiss. Both are cumbersome. I don't know how to do both on screen," Shah Rukh said at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2012 here Friday.
Ever since the release of Yash Chopra's directorial JTHJ Tuesday, social networking platforms have been abuzz about the kiss scene between Shah Rukh and Katrina Kaif. So, moderator Vir Sanghvi, on behalf of Twitterati, asked SRK: How come he kissed this time!
"I will be very honest. Adi (Aditya Chopra), Yash ji and Katrina, and I say this with all humility and thankfulness to them, that they knew I was awkward, I had issues and I am a very easy actor to work with. They are like my family and they said, 'You don't have to do this' and then they got together and they forced me and then even paid me for it."
"So... when heroines say that 'I wore a bikini because the story demanded me to', I did it (the kiss) because the story demanded it. Believe me or don't believe it," said the 47-year-old actor, who has been in showbiz for over two decades.
Shah Rukh feels doing something as intimate as a kiss on screen, is mechanical.
"It is very mechanical with 100 people telling you what to do. It's very odd. I don't even do photoshoots with heroines if it is not for my film and that is also rude, but I don't want to waste anyone's time. I find it very awkward taking my shirt off and posing. I can do it in character for film," he said.
But JTHJ was "extremely special because of Yash ji".
"He spoke to everyone and he said 'Shah Rukh, this is a requirement'," recollected Shah Rukh.
The actor was extremely close to the late filmmaker, who breathed his last Oct 21 following dengue and subsequent multi-organ failure.

NEWS: Shah Rukh on French magazine cover

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan features on the cover page of French magazine Paris Match.
The actor looks dapper in a grey and black shirt teamed with trousers.
He tweeted a picture of the magazine cover, and posted: "If you know French... tell me what it says on cover... apart from my name. Thanks."
Meanwhile, the actor is enjoying the response his latest release "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" has received following its release on Diwali, Nov 13. It is the last directorial venture of late legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra. The film also features Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar will kick off the 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) at a football ground in the capital later this month, organisers said, adding that over 70 films would be premiered at the 10-day event.
"Akshay Kumar will be inaugurating the IFFI at the football stadium in Panaji. Over 7,500 delegates and 400 members from the media have already registered for the festival," director of the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) Shankar Mohan said.
He added that two Indian regional language films were vying with 15 other films in the competition section.
Mohan said Punjabi film "Anhey Ghode da daan" and Bengali film "Elar Char Adhyay" would be competing with other global films in the competition section.

He added that in the centenary of the Indian film section, over 27 films and 56 documentaries from black and white to colour and silent films have been selected for screening.

NEWS: Sonakshi excited to work with Saif in 'Bullet Raja'

After working with names like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, actress Sonakshi Sinha is now excited about working with Saif Ali Khan in "Bullet Raja". She considers it a "fresh pairing".
"It's a very fresh pairing and I am looking forward to work with Saif Ali Khan. I actually wanted to work with him for quite some time, and luckily got an opportunity with 'Bullet Raja'. I am extremely excited to work with Saif," Sonakshi told IANS.
"Bullet Raja", directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, is set around Uttar Pradesh-based mafia.
The shooting of the movie has already begun, but Sonakshi will join the crew in February 2013.
"I believe they have already started shooting the film. I was busy shooting for 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2' and 'Dabangg 2', so I will join the crew of 'Bullet Raja' in February," she said.
Sonakshi isn't sure where her parts will be shot, but says she might have to travel to Uttar Pradesh.
The actress, who made her Bollywood debut with "Dabangg" in 2010, says she is happy with the roles she has received.
She says, "Luckily I am doing some good films, and I am fortunate to be part of 'Lootera', which has been a tough role and different," she said.
In Vikramaditya Motwane's "Lootera", Sonakshi features opposite Ranveer Singh.

NEWS: Arbaaz should've turned director long back: Sonakshi

Sonakshi Sinha, lead actress of "Dabangg 2", says Arbaaz Khan, who makes his directorial debut with the movie, should have gone behind the camera a long time back.
"I personally feel Arbaaz is so well versed with his work that he should have turned director a long time back. I didn't feel for a minute that he is directing for the first time. He is an all-rounder. He knows his work so well I am thankful to be working with him again," Sonakshi told IANS.
Arbaaz turned producer with 2010 film "Dabangg", which turned out to be a blockbuster. Now with "Dabangg 2", he decided to take on the additional responsibility of directing it too.
Sonakshi assures that the sequel, which has Salman Khan as corrupt cop Chulbul Pandey once again, will be more entertaining than the original movie.
"I would say it was great working with the 'Dabangg' team again. It's always fun to work with Salman Khan. I am very excited for 'Dabangg 2', which is scheduled for a Christmas release. I'm sure it will be much more entertaining than 'Dabangg'," said the 25-year-old.
Sonakshi, daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, has so far worked with A-list actors like Salman and Akshay Kumar. In her latest release "Son Of Sardaar", she is seen with Ajay Devgn. Sonakshi says she considers herself lucky.
"I consider myself lucky and fortunate to work with such wonderful co-stars in all my films. For me, more than anything else, the content of the film matters and I have been lucky with that as well," she added.

NEWS: Big B, Abhishek injured outside Bal Thackarey's house

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek were injured as they struggled through the crowd to meet ailing Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray at his house Matoshree.
On Wednesday night, the actors went to visit Thackeray, who is reportedly in critical condition.
"Balasaheb Thackeray: a fighter all his life, fights his life! Prayers needed now! Yes both Abhishek and me were injured with cuts, but are fine and back home... the doctors at Matoshree attended on us," Amitabh tweeted.
Amitabh recalled the time when he was recovering in hospital after his near fatal accident on the sets of 1983 film "Coolie", and Thackeray had come to see him.
"When I was flown in to Mumbai from Bangalore in semi-conscious state after 'Coolie' accident, it was his ambulance that took me to Breach Candy Hospital," Amitabh said.
"When I fought for my life after 'Coolie' accident, he came to visit me in hospital, with a cartoon he had drawn - Yamraj defeated! Yamraj - God of Death, defeated by me... wish I was as proficient a cartoonist as he, I would wish to draw that for him," added Big B.
The 70-year-old says Thackeray has always treated him like family.
"When Jaya and I married, he (Bal Thackeray) called us to his house... and the rituals that were conducted was of the 'bahu' coming home! From that day on he always treated us as family," he said.
Amitabh also revealed how Thackeray supported him while the actor reeled under the Bofors Scandal accusations.
"When the Bofors Scandal accusations on us were at its peak, he called me home and asked 'tell me the truth, are you involved?' When I said 'No!', he said 'Then do not worry about anything. I am with you. You are an actor, go do what you are best at'," he added.

My Review of Jab Tak Hai Jaan

Hey guys as I promised you all I will write up a review of Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Sorry for the delay as I am in USA where I had to choreograph a Bollywood Fashion and Dance show for a University where they hosted a "Diwali Event"

First off let me wish you all a very HAPPY DIWALI hope you all had a great one.

Now lets discuss JAB TAK HAI JAAN.

So I saw the film on the first day it released and this is what I have to say about the film.

STORY: I was expecting a better story, a more realistic story of love. The story that was told in the film was not very realistic and 99% this type of love stories do not occur in real life. The film should have had a better story line, a better plot so that it would be convincing. If they really wanted to go by this story then they should have changed it a bit to make it more convincing and realistic. But the story was unchanged so it made it very unrealistic. However the reason I was stuck to my seat was because the ending was not predictable, you would not know if ShahRukh would end up with Katrina or will he end up with Anushka, or will he end up with anyone? this made the film interesting and exciting to watch till the end regardless the length of the film.

SHAH RUKH KHAN: This man can never fail to disappoint his fans and even those who are not a big fan of his. He played his role to perfection, especially during Ladakh sequence when he is in the Army. Off the London and Ladakh sequence, I enjoyed watching him more in Ladakh because his role character and acting stood out more. But nonetheless throughout the film he was never disappointing, his romance, comic, and serious role timing was perfect.

Katrina Kaif: As Meera she played her part just right, but until she was in the same frame with ShahRukh that is when things went downhill. I felt when Katrina was solo on screen she was great but once she was with ShahRukh she just did not match up to him and was not convincing as other leading ladies with ShahRukh in a Yash Chopra film. The problem was that there was no chemistry between the two, and on top of that ShahRukh looked older to her so that made it even worse. It was not him who needed to look young but it was Katrina who needed to be replaced by somebody else, and I think the two actresses that would have suited Katrina's role as Meera would have been Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone. One of them would have been perfect.

Anushka Sharma: If she was not in the film, this movie would have been a huge disappointment, even ShahRukh's performance would have not saved the film. She was perfect as Akira, I was waiting for Anushka to come on screen, because her presence in the film made me want to see this film. Her role as Akira brought laughter, smile, and excitement into the film, she was far better off then Katrina. Also she looked better with ShahRukh, he did not look older then her, she did not look younger then him, they looked perfect together on screen. Anushka's career from this film will only go up as she was very convincing in her role as Akira from start to finish.

Overall: The movie was good, it could have been better in terms of the story line and some character swap, but due to ShahRukh and Anushka's performance and the sequence in Ladakh along with the fact that you would not be sure of the ending, the film is worth seeing. I rate this film 3.5/5

LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS BELOW :)
