Rs.200 crore doesn't matter for 'Ek Tha Tiger' now

Bollywood star Salman Khan says if "Ek Tha Tiger" had to cross Rs.200 crore at the box office, it should have achieved the feat by now.
"For 'Ek Tha Tiger', if it had to cross Rs.200 crore, it should have crossed long time back. Now slowly if it crosses (the mark), it's not the same thing," Salman told reporters here.
"Ek Tha Tiger" released Aug 15, and made Rs.33 crore on its opening day. It is now reportedly close to registering Rs.200 crore.
Salman, who has been giving hit films one after another with projects like "Wanted", "Dabangg" and "Bodyguard", says he is not here to set any records.
"I'm not setting any records. I am working on something day by day. I am concentrating on 'Dabangg 2' right now. I give my best at that point of time to whatever I am doing. If that comes across correctly, then these things (box office collections) follow," he added.
"Dabangg 2" is produced and directed by Arbaaz Khan.
Meanwhile, Salman is also geared up to host Colors' reality show "Bigg Boss 6", which will go on air Oct 7.

'Ek Tha Tiger' will sustain on content: Kabir Khan

Filmmaker Kabir Khan says Salman Khan's presence in "Ek Tha Tiger" will bring in the initial footfalls, but the film's content and direction will sustain it thereafter.
"I feel the film has stamina to run for a very long time. I hope the film goes way beyond the opening which is dependent on Salman. After that it is me and the film that I have made. I feel it has the strength to go a long way," Kabir said.
"Ek Tha Tiger", releasing Aug 15, is his third directorial venture after "Kabul Express" and "New York". The movie, in which Salman plays a spy, also features his former lady love Katrina Kaif, making it one of the much-awaited films of the year.
The first look of the film was also widely appreciated. The buzz has led several multiplexes to cash in on its popularity by reportedly hiking ticket prices 10-15 percent.
But there's little that the director can do.
"That is not something that I can dictate to the multiplexes. They have said it is a standard practice they follow. When they feel a film is much-anticipated and is running during a holiday period or a festive period, they tend to mark up the price," Kabir said.
"Apparently, some time back (ticket) prices had been brought down, so the 15 percent mark up is just bringing it back to what it was three to four months back.
"So I don't think it is pumped up as much as it was done for some films a couple of years back."

EK THA TIGER song promo: Banjaara

Katrina Kaif sizzles in Masha Allah

Actress has learnt a new form of belly dancing for her upcoming spy thriller, Ek Tha Tiger.
After setting the screen ablaze with her item numbers Sheila Ki Jawaani and Chikni Chameli, this time Katrina Kaif is all set to shake her belly, this time for her own film opposite Salman Khan. We heard that the actress has learnt a new dance form of belly dancing floor work for her song Masha Allah in Kabir Khan’s forthcoming film, Ek Tha Tiger.
A source from the unit says, “The song is the most integral part of the film where Salman is praising Katrina. He feels that she is extremely beautiful and that’s why the song is called Masha Allah. When the song was discussed, Katrina was shooting on the borders of Turkey and Iraq and that’s when she decided to learn the dance form Belly.”
Kat apparently also gave inputs about the way she was to be presented in the number. The source adds, “ There are as many as five costume changes in the song and Kat was completely involved in deciding on each of these looks
